2008 Tea Party and Tees for Tots Golf Tournament Raise $40,000. for Current Events page.
The Little Light House’s two spring fundraisers raised $40,000 to support the programs of the Little Light House. The third annual Tea Party was held on April 21 at the beautiful Fairview Inn in downtown Jackson. Nearly 300 ladies of all ages joined us to celebrate spring and help the children of the Little Light House. Guest speaker Leisha Pickering shared how her family’s life has been blessed with the love of a special child. Following her inspirational address, the attendees shared from their hearts and gave almost $20,000 to support the ministries of the Little Light House. On May 6, the Tees for Tots golf tournament boasted a full slate of three-man teams vying for gift certificates for brand name golf merchandise and the opportunity to change the life of a child with special needs. Held at Castlewoods Country Club, players got to meet our students and their families after a day on the links. |

Planning for “Laps” and “Struttin’ Their Stuff” Underway Watch this page for more information about “Laps for Little Ones” and “Struttin’ Their Stuff!”
These two fun events will be held at University Christian School on Saturday, October 18. Laps for Little Ones is a community fundraising event featuring individuals, families, and corporate groups raising funds for our 1-hour fun run and walk. Not only will those individuals who run the most laps around the UCS track be recognized, but we also will have special recognition and prizes for the individuals who raise the most money. Contact us if you want to receive a registration form this fall. Then, the children of the Little Light House become the stars of the show as they take their “victory lap” around a mini-track immediately following Laps for Little Ones. This year’s Disney theme reflects the Little Light House: “where the everyday ordinary is extraordinary.” Rally around our students’ families as they raise funds on behalf of their children. Click here if you want to donate on behalf of a child, and put “Struttin- CHILDS NAME” in the Recognition line. This year your donation may go even farther! If our LLH parents meet their fundraising goal of $50,000 by October 10, 2008, the Phil Hardin Foundation will match our efforts with $50,000! (Downloadable Forms Available Soon) |
