Become a Volunteer!
The Little Light House is always seeking men, women, and youth who desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Our goal is to provide a volunteer for every child, to enhance the students learning experience throughout the school day. There are a variety of areas in which to volunteer. One very important way you can help our children reach their developmental milestones is by sharing your time in the classroom.
No previous experience is required. All volunteers receive free training and work with the children under the supervision of qualified staff members.

Help our children enjoy their lunch! Serve as a lunchtime volunteer and assist our teachers with setup and cleanup after. Lunch is served between 11:00-12:30.
Special Events Volunteers
We have 3 major fundraising events throughout the year as well as Guest Luncheons, holiday parties, and other get-togethers. Volunteers play a vital part by assisting our staff in planning and executing these events!
Are you an animated, energetic and fun-loving individual who enjoys interacting with kids? If so, then the Little Light House is searching for you! Reading volunteers provide our children with a little comic relief during the school day. This is a wonderful opportunity for those who wish to work with our children, but are only available for an hour or so during the day.
The Little Light House is a very busy place! We need volunteers to help with filing, typing, data entry, phone calls, photocopying and other tasks. This is a great way to gain administrative experience in a friendly office atmosphere.
The Little Light House is blessed to have volunteers who are willing to give one day a week or more to work with our children under the supervision of qualified staff members. Help our students develop motor skills, reading, writing, self-help skills and achieve other goals.
Gym “Coach” Volunteers
Do you enjoy working with children in an active and energetic atmosphere? During gym-time you can work on coordination and gross motor skills with the assistance of therapists and teachers.
