Sad Goodbyes and Cheery Hellos

On June 16th, we said goodbye to twelve graduates! The emotions were bittersweet, rocking back and forth between happy and sad tears. We are so thankful for each little miracle who has attended the Little Light House, reaching their milestones and touching our hearts each and every day. We are so proud of what they have accomplished. Their futures are truly bright. Tanner, JoEllen, Benjamin, Maylee, Elizabeth, Aidan, Andrew, (deep breath) Joshua, Caleb, Aaron, Josh W., and Lizzie, you are missed! Keep shining your light!

We hope to reunite with all of our alumni at our next event, “Struttin’ Their Stuff” where all of our students, returning, new and alumni will all “strut their stuff” together on October 22, 2011!

Speaking of new students, we have thirteen of them this year! The Blue Class welcomes five new friends this school year. They have been busy bees already this week, working hard on their alphabet books that they make every year. Today they painted with apples for the letter A. The Green Class is no longer the youngest class as they have welcomed four new friends to learn and grow with. They are enjoying music time and are scheduling a dance-off with the other classes sometime soon. Finally, the Red Class has welcomed four new friends and a new teacher, too! The Little Light House family is so happy to welcome Stephanie St. John aboard! Her students love her already and so do we!
