Student Spotlight: Graduation 2010
The 2009-2010 school year brought us the largest number of graduates ever: 6!They were: Ace Speihler, Breanna Moss, Caroline Pittman, Ella Miller, Gabriel Parker, and Gandy Hester. Each of these children has been a tremendous blessing to us and we are so proud of their great progress during their time at The Little Light House.
The ceremony began with all of the children on stage singing some of their favorite circle time songs. Breanna and Ella used unique communication devices to choose a song to sing! Then the children who were not graduating went to sit with their families and watch a video celebrating each of the graduates. As “Pomp and Circumstance” played, our graduates, in adorable graduation gowns and mortar boards, processed to meet and hug their teacher, receive a diploma and a Bible from Maureen and meet their teary-eyed parents on the other side of the stage. Ace expressed the feelings of each graduate when he shouted, “I did it!” as he walked off the stage.
Each of these precious children has accomplished many things from walking to communicating through words, an eye gaze or sign language, to reading. And we are so very proud. Way to go!
